Taming the dragon: using llnode to debug your Node.js application
Fortunately, we can use this same technique with our Node.js applications! This is possible through llnode: a LLDB plugin which enables us to inspect Node.js core dumps. With llnode, we can inspect objects in the memory and look at the complete backtrace of the program, including native (C++) frames and JavaScript frames. It can be used on a running Node.js application or through a core dump.

Debugging with GDB
Well, there's LLDB (https://lldb.llvm.org/) - I've heard it's got some nifty architectural features (e.g. having access to the Clang framework for handling C/C++ expressions).
I've done some minimal poking about in the code; I found its object-orientation a bit hard to grok (just for me personally) but it seemed to be quite uniformly applied so it might well be easier to work with.

I am also using GEF as well. Pretty nifty tool for GDB, to be honest. Of course we have PEDA but what's the point of writing this if I am doing the same thing as Mr Cheron? In case if you wonder, I set my stack lines in GEF to 100 and set the stack to display downwards. This is more inline with what I was taught in class, where stack grows downward.

How do you use gdb without the tui? Are there advantages? Or just describe your GDB workflow.
If you are on Linux, install GEF and be happy.
- TF2 on Linux is running incredibly poorly, reporting 1200%+ CPU usage. Steam also appears to have some sort of memleak and infinite loop/callback going on leading to absurd CPU usage over time.

Any good and easy-to-use C debuggers?
If you are in linux, I recomend none of them (haha) because you should get more used to GDB a little bit. You just need to install some good visualizers likes GEF, for example.
