Why is QBitTorrent so worshipped? Genuinely asking from someone who has used uTorrent for a few years.
I had a longer answer, but qBittorrent is great and has a great webui/server model if you're running a separate linux box to run it in. If you're on windows, grab 4.3.9 or 4.6.2 with libtorrent 1.x. RSS stuff is nice too. Libtorrent 2.x has issues on Windows currently (read these threads if you want to know more - https://github.com/arvidn/libtorrent/pull/7013 - https://github.com/arvidn/libtorrent/issues/6667#issuecomment-1804035311 ). Please don't bug Arvid about it though. Libtorrent 2.x gets us Bittorrent v2, which is a good thing.

Is v4.5.0 usable again? There have been connection / speed issues with v4.4.x
Latest libtorrent v1.2 branch changelog: https://github.com/arvidn/libtorrent/blob/RC_2_0/ChangeLog
- Unstable or zero speed and speed loops downloading with qBittorrent 4.5.0, but fast seeding; now using uTorrent for downloading

Do we have any developers willing to greatly help BitTorrent community [Interesting challenge]
You can support this feature by writing a comment in https://github.com/arvidn/libtorrent/issues/7252
Where users could finally download files that were present in other swarms. This would decentralize network more, swarms with valuable files wouldn't die fast, even when updating a torrent, where info hash differs, say tv series, adding new episode, all the previous seeds of swarm could contribute bandwidth and resistance to new swarms, there were nice proposals at libtorrent project (library which many clients we know use), as f.e. not announcing that a peer has files to not overwhelm network, but announcing that he wants them.

Anyone have any experience with writing their own torrent client?
How much of it do you want to do yourself vs how much do you want to use pre-made libraries for? Many popular clients rely on libtorrent which is a C++ torrent library: https://github.com/arvidn/libtorrent

FWIW, it seems like there'll be an update to libtorrent very soon that'll address the memory issue.

qBittorrent 4.4.5 memory leak on LinuxServer.io Docker container?
Here is a link to an issue I found on the libtorrent repo discussing the issue.

[Discussion] Using checkra1n0.12.4 to jb A9 devices
Hello, as the title says, just came across the option of checkra1n after finding out that unc0ver was not available for iphone 6s on ios 14.6 (proven fact, installed unc0ver and got unsupported message) . Due to the fact that i am using a windows pc , i looked what are my options again. Before finding asineth0/checkn1x iso , i came across https://iamjustatech.blogspot.com/ who was offering checkra1n0.12.4windows image in order to be able to create a bootable usb with rufus. So, my question would be, did i exposed myself by not using the git variant of the iso? All my concern is about the pc, the phone is empty and does not have my main ICloud account. I am thinking about not infecting my BIOS when i ran the usb boot and jailbroke the 6S or i don't know, any other kind of malware that could spread over my ssd. I don't know if any of these scenarios are possible , but i thought i would ask in case i should install a clean version of windows and maybe re-flash the bios too.

[help] human error or not possible IPhone 6s iOS 14.8
There is no tool for Windows. Easiest solution is checkn1x, which is a teeny-tiny Linux distro stripped down to only have checkra1n and the bare essentials: https://github.com/asineth0/checkn1x

[Question] Is it posaible to jailbreak ios 14.6 on an iphone 10,5 on windows?
You may want to look into a Linux bootable USB running something like https://github.com/asineth0/checkn1x
-
[Question] Are there really not any (non-checkra1n) jailbreaks for the iPhone SE (1) on 14.5.1?
Since you want Cydia, forget about odysseyn1x and use the regular checkn1x (https://github.com/asineth0/checkn1x). It's just stock checkra1n in a bootable ISO.
-
[Question] Using windows, how do you download checkra1n on IOS (SE)?
With a Windows PC you can use a USB flash drive that will boot your PC into Linux and run the install tool. Take a look at this https://github.com/asineth0/checkn1x

[Question] checkra1n not working
You’ll have to either dual-boot or boot off of a USB to macOS or Linux (it also works on Linux). I’ve used checkn1x and it works fine
- [Question] How the fuck do people jailbreak now days? I don't get it.

Multiboot with Windows Bootloader, GRUB, systemd-boot and MBR bootloaders
Ubuntu is a custom entry to GRUB sitting within the main ESP. Checkn1x entry is a version of alpine linux I modded based on asineth0's checkn1x. Its ramdisk and kernel sit within the main ESP and is loaded by systemd-boot as a custom entry in OpenCore.
What are some alternatives?
qBittorrent - qBittorrent BitTorrent client
bootra1n - Just enough Linux for checkra1n.
BiglyBT - Feature-filled Bittorrent client based on the Azureus open source project
odysseyn1x - Linux-based distro that lets you install checkra1n, odysseyra1n and Project Sandcastle.
libutp - uTorrent Transport Protocol library
FutureRestore-GUI - A modern GUI for FutureRestore, with added features to make the process easier.
jech/dht - BitTorrent DHT library
Rufus - The Reliable USB Formatting Utility
qbittorrent-nox-static - A bash script which builds a fully static qbittorent-nox binary with current dependencies to use on any Linux OS
PongoOS - pongoOS
