The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

How to lower CPU usage in a very tight loop without sleep?
I'm writing a small program that use libmodbus to communicate with other devices. And it seems that modbus protocol only has the concept of request-reply so only way I can do to get the data is to pull it with modbus_read_registers in a loop. Something like this:
- Libmodbus – A modbus library for Linux, Mac OS, FreeBSD and windows
- Libmodbus - A modbus library for linux, mac os, freebsd and windows
-
which modbus c library do you use?
> thanks, but these are for linux based drivers. Yes, libmodbus is for "big" OS but as described in the article and pointed in its README on github (https://github.com/stephane/libmodbus/) You can run it on MCUs with Embox RTOS.

Free and open-source PLC driven warehouse/manufacturing simulation made with Unity, now with even more models and conveyors!
Yes, according to libplctag (the Ethernet/IP driver we use) testing results, it should work fine.

Have the PLC monitor a text file on a connected PC, then switch outputs based on the contents of the file.
You could give libplctag a try, they have various wrappers for different languages to make it easier for developers.

Control motor drive via Ethernet IP using cRIO
Easy to run. Just use https://github.com/libplctag/libplctag via Call Library Function Node API.

Read/Write PLC tags from PC in C#
I'll save you 3 months of coding. This wheel has been invented and is open source here.

Generic Ethernet module and assembly instances
The other communciation method is the kind used by HMIs, essentially how your PanelViews talk to PLCs. These devices don't show up in the Network/IO tree on your PLC, and have no guarantees, if the communications fails they fail, but the PLC doesn't have a fault. If this is what you need they probably want to use https://github.com/libplctag/libplctag, in which case all you really need to do on the PLC side is give them some tags to read/write to.
