My theme is broken
Hello Reddit, Since GNOME started using libawaita I used the libawaita theme changer script (https://github.com/odziom91/libadwaita-theme-changer) to get my gtk3 theme to libawaita apps, but then I installed solanum and telegraph, which for some reason they used the default libawaita theme, is there some way i can get this fixed, ill have the image below (The gnome extensions window is the one that works but the telegraph one doesnt)
- colour scheme of file manager not changing
- [Gnome] Changeur de thème pour Libadwaita
- GNOME tweaks doesn't appley my theme to some apps
-

I use this

A Warning for Future Debian 12 Gnome Users
When upgrading, it's likely your theming will be broken as libadwaita needs another kind of hack to make theming work (this script does the trick https://github.com/odziom91/libadwaita-theme-changer , the Gradience program also helps with this.)

Theme Changer for Libadwaita
Anyone who wants to just do it themselves, go here: https://github.com/philippun1/dash-to-panel/tree/gjs-71-1

Disable extensions autoupdate
git clone --branch gjs-71-1 https://github.com/philippun1/dash-to-panel.git
- Downgrade from GNOME 40 to an older version (any older version which supports extensions like dash to dock, panel osd etc). Is it possible? If not then maybe removing GNOME and installing KDE?

Is Dock to Dash extension not working on Fedora 34 Gnome 40?
I use "dash to panel". There is a fork for Gnome 40 (https://github.com/philippun1/dash-to-panel/tree/update-to-gnome40). Still some pretty big bugs though; currently not usable for the way I use it, but I have a pretty odd layout.

GNOME Dash-to-{dock, panel} alternatives
cd /tmp git clone https://github.com/philippun1/dash-to-panel cd dash-to-panel make make install
- Anyone know if dash to dock will update for Gnome 40?

Gnome 40 (gnome-shell) is now in extra
This can be used in the meantime https://github.com/philippun1/dash-to-panel/tree/update-to-gnome40
What are some alternatives?
Gruvbox-GTK-Theme - A GTK theme based on the Gruvbox colour palette.
dash-to-dock - A dock for the Gnome Shell. This extension moves the dash out of the overview transforming it in a dock for an easier launching of applications and a faster switching between windows and desktops.
libadwaita-themes - Themes for GNOME 42 GTK4.0
dash-to-dock - A dock for the Gnome Shell. This extension moves the dash out of the overview transforming it in a dock for an easier launching of applications and a faster switching between windows and desktops.
Juno - GTK themes inspired by epic vscode themes
dash-to-panel - An icon taskbar for the Gnome Shell. This extension moves the dash into the gnome main panel so that the application launchers and system tray are combined into a single panel, similar to that found in KDE Plasma and Windows 7+. A separate dock is no longer needed for easy access to running and favorited applications.
WhiteSur-gtk-theme - MacOS Big Sur like theme for Gnome desktops
gse-sound-output-device-chooser - Gnome Shell Extension to show a simple chooser to select Input & Output device based on gnome control center
neofetch-themes - Neofetch configs put into a convinient repository
vertical-overview - Gnome has had vertically stacked workspaces for a long time. The Gnome 40 update unfortunately made the switch to a horizontal layout. A choice that many Gnome users disagree with. This extension completely replaces the new Gnome overview with something that resembles the old style.
AdwCustomizer - Gradience is a tool for customizing Libadwaita applications and the adw-gtk3 theme. [Moved to: https://github.com/GradienceTeam/Gradience]
svntogit-packages - Automatic import of svn 'packages' repo (read-only mirror)
