I created an app that launches your apps in the window layout you want
The fourth is Later, a simple and nicely designed app that allows you to close and reopen apps and docs. The project has been abandoned, but the dev has made it open source on GitHub, so the code can be reused.

Later: abandonware or not?
Someone in this subreddit recently mentioned that later was no longer being maintained. It's still working without any problem, so no worries as of right now. That said, I plan for the long term and tend to avoid/ditch apps that have been abandoned as something is bound to break sooner or later. It hasn't been updated in some time, I think.

Show HN: Hucksh – A Shell with a Good Memory
Seems like re.sh (https://github.com/curusarn/resh) plus a directory tab and unlike re.sh it isn't free. I like the directory history, but that isn't a $40/yr value add for me
- Atuin replaces your existing shell history with a SQLite database
- Runlike: Given an existing Docker container, prints the command line to run it
