He was likely confusing Latest. I initially assumed the same.
Someone in this subreddit recently mentioned that later was no longer being maintained. It's still working without any problem, so no worries as of right now. That said, I plan for the long term and tend to avoid/ditch apps that have been abandoned as something is bound to break sooner or later. It hasn't been updated in some time, I think.
FWIW, the functionality here overlaps a bit with some of the functionality that I have in Rectangle Pro.
