oh god it seems to be so much worse https://github.com/DanielOgorchock/joycond/issues/111 somehow, i dont know how, left stick is now bound to both left stick *and* dpad, with the actual dpad being entirely unbound, what the fuck happened here

I cant get my 8BitDo Ultimate controller to work.
I'm having a similar issue on Fedora, I only got it working over bluetooth with joycond but then you lose gyro functionality, and joycond takes a bit of effort to uninstall. I also ended up installing dkms-hid-nintendo to no avail.

Both Proton and Wine are open-source, there's not much to be gained by trapping any possible development to only folks working at Valve when there are thousands would happily help for free, on top of those Valve already pays.

Then, if you managed to attach gdb, source this script and run lsf. After that let the game continue until you hit the crash and you should be able to get a backtrace with symbols (don't forget to use a radv build with debug symbols left in.
