Streaming Music to headless Raspberry Pi + mopidy pains
If using mopidy is not the best way to approach this, I'm open to alternatives. I've tried jellycli, but it currently has some track selection issues that make it unworkable for me. (It also uses ~50% of my raspberry pi's CPU, while the python-based mopidy uses ~2%, so I really question what's going on with that go program.) I also have a Chromecast Audio available, but before I go to the effort of creating a letsencrypt cert and overriding DNS on my network I'd rather exhaust the Raspberry Pi options.

NAS: Music Playback Bluetooth and Browser
Another option could be to run jellycli (https://github.com/tryffel/jellycli) on the server. It has a headless option which looks like it should appear as an option on the Jellyfin "Play on" menu. This would allow you to use a common interface whether playing locally or via the NAS conneted speakers.

I want to move away from my Nvidia Shield Pro as a client but I'd like to understand my alternatives a little better
If you want to replicate this, try Kodi plus the Jellyfin Kodi addon.

Anyone use kodi-headless?
Funny thing is I found about it by accident on jellyfin kodi github Issues page trying to see how to fix/repirt some bugs I experienced https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-kodi/issues/647

Linus Tech Tips next video is about Plex vs. Jellyfin. Have a look
JellyCon appears to work just fine. Jellyfin for Kodi is suffering from an upstream Python bug if you're running Python 3.11.0 that causes it to crash, but there's nothing we can do until they push updates out. issue.

Jellyfin and Kodi 20
There appears to be some incompatibility with the AndroidTV (and maybe normal Android?) build of Kodi specifically. Haven't tracked down what it is yet, as I kinda need users to do the debugging for me due me not having the relevant hardware myself. It's being tracked here: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-kodi/issues/705

Questioning on the development of jellyfin
Jellyfin-Kodi - "thick" Kodi addon. syncs metadata from the JF server into Kodi's local database for a native Kodi feel.

KODI and jellyfin generated .nfo files
It happens in native mode as well. The issue has been reported here https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-kodi/issues/571 and I don't see it being resolved any time soon but I guess using external players with kodi is a niche thing so that's understandable.

JellyCon - Without folder many contents are displayed
Welcome to the club. Nobody currently understands why this happens and until somebody manages to track down whatever the flag is that triggers it, we won't be able to fix it. https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-kodi/issues/169
