Running Rust code on Android
By the way, you mentioned having trouble setting RUSTFLAGS, were you putting those keys in Cargo.toml, or .cargo/config.toml? The latter is where you would set those, like in this embedded project.

Cassette: A simple, single-future, no-std, non-blocking async/await executor
Heres the state machine for my embedded I2C bootloader: https://github.com/sprocket-board/sprocket-boot/blob/cassette/src/boot_machine.rs, that's what prompted me writing Cassette :)
What are some alternatives?
When comparing cassette and sprocket-boot you can also consider the following projects:
embassy - Modern embedded framework, using Rust and async.
heapless - Heapless, `static` friendly data structures
wyhash-rs - wyhash fast portable non-cryptographic hashing algorithm and random number generator in Rust
governor - A rate-limiting library for Rust (f.k.a. ratelimit_meter)
xargo - The sysroot manager that lets you build and customize `std`
