Recording PD patch with video and audio
Linux: Good luck! You can use JACK, which provides something similar to ASIO4ALL (as in generic low-latency audio functionality, but with more flexibility). In conjunction with pulseaudio-module-jack, you are able to route ordinary system audio (browser, media players, OBS, etc) to JACK and vice versa. Here's a guide on how to achieve this. Then you can just set JACK as pd's output and as OBS' input. I successfully set this up on a Debian system.

Seeking a FOSS virtual mixing board program to pair with Jack Audio Connection Kit
If you search for a solution to connect non-JACK software to JACK maybe you could try running PulseAudio on top of JACK.
-
Alsa
They're different implementations, that are almost functionally identical. Because JACK2 is actively maintained, it should be the preferred choice, unless you have a very specific need for JACK1.

Pipewire audio over network?
NetJACK = https://github.com/jackaudio/jackaudio.github.com/wiki/WalkThrough_User_NetJack2
-
"Replace jack with extra/jack2?"
jack2 is a rewritten version of jack. It has a backwards compatible ABI -- programs compiled for jack will work with jack2 without needing recompile. See https://github.com/jackaudio/jackaudio.github.com/wiki/Differences-between-jack1-and-jack2 which recommends using jack2 as jack is now bugfix-only (no new features etc)

How do I configure both my guitar and headset mic to work using Cadence / Jack?
You could probably use alsa_in to make a jack port for the mic https://github.com/jackaudio/jackaudio.github.com/wiki/WalkThrough_User_AlsaInOut

Bitwig (jack) + Firefox (pulse) on Pipewire (linux) = crap
Check the official jack/pulseaudio howto for getting that up and running.

How to Replicate Voicemeeter Functionality on Linux?
https://github.com/jackaudio/jackaudio.github.com/wiki may be helpful, otherwise do the usual sweep here, on Arch Linux, youtube, https://odysee.com/$/search?q=jack%20audio etc.

svt-av1 1.5.0-1 broke ffmpeg and ab-av1 -crf setting
Yep looks like ffmpeg package needs to be rebuilt against svt-av1 1.5.0. In the meantime you can checkout, build & re-install the ffmpeg pkgbuild locally to fix.

Is it possible to install gnome 3 on the latest version of arch Linux?
Download the PKGBUILDs from the archlinux svntogit trunk and use makepkg as you'd normally would I guess. Here's the PKGBUILD for gnome-shell v. 3.38.4 for example: https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-packages/blob/e93ee10b663dedcebfd8c33fd53b82f642a0a0a8/trunk/PKGBUILD

Python 3.11 is in the repos now \o/
The old python PKGBUILD from the Arch repos is here, in case anyone wants to build it themselves under the python310 name (with additional minor modifications): https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-packages/blob/855d73921bb8e86820a7731870de335c3c2fa236/trunk/PKGBUILD
- It appears GNOME is in the process of being updated
- GNOME 44 spotted in the repos
