Share the best thing(s) about your config
Create some systemd units with what you want to happen before and after unlocking your session. Here are the units I use. gdmflex.service is what takes you to GDM and lock-sway.service locks the session before getting to the GDM screen. The latter is a MUST! To lock the session I use loginctl lock-session.

Tried to use gdmflexiserver (gdm lock screen) and failed.
I have created a lock.target and an unlock.target. When lock.target starts, it starts swaylock.

Advanced Idle management - Share your configs with me [Laptop]
If you want to copy-paste my config, at least my current one, you will need sessionctl in your path and executable. I made this, because having those commands in my config, didn't give me the flexibility I wanted.

How can I make little tools like this faster?
I wrote this one today (you can find the code here, but it wasn't really a pleasant experience. I don't want any extra dependencies for small scripts like this, but there must be an easier way to create something like this in a few minutes.

Two questions.
I use swaywm exclusively so I simply put export in .zshrc but for your case, you can run sway together with exporting environment variables via script. Similar to this one: https://github.com/naibaf0/dotfiles/blob/master/bin/sway-run
What are some alternatives?
