Some context: I'm testing a form of unhooking which involves replacing the dynamically linked copies of DLLs with fresh, unhooked versions. I lay out reasons an attacker might not want to use Cylance's approach (linked above), primarily that it involves trusting the defender's copy of the DLL on disk.
