With InThe.AM shutting down are there any alternatives that anyone can suggest
I just found out that InThe.AM was shutting down (https://github.com/coddingtonbear/inthe.am/discussions/427). It looks like there was a somewhat attempt to self host it but did not seem to get completed (https://github.com/coddingtonbear/inthe.am/issues/291)?

Show HN: A TaskWarrior client for mobile, in flutter
Looks like a self-hosted taskserver is the way now: https://github.com/coddingtonbear/inthe.am :
> Note:: Inthe.AM will be shutting down on January 1st, 2024. See #427 for more informaion.
Looks like there are a number of ways to sync over just git now?

Task management at emacs org-mode level in neovim
Not much to say, it's a {https://github.com/GothenburgBitFactory/taskwarrior}(command line utility for task management) with a lot of features. I like it because I tend to spend more time on desktop than mobile, although there are a {https://github.com/bgregos/foreground}(couple) of {https://f-droid.org/es/packages/kvj.taskw/}(apps) for Android users. It allows synchronization between devices by setting up your own {https://taskwarrior.org/docs/taskserver/setup/}(taskserver) or using {https://inthe.am/}(third party tools).

Exploring Taskwarrior. What options are there for iOS/iPadOS?
I imagine the google login is if you want them to host your instance of inthe.am. The taskwarrior portal says this is GPL and it has its own github (so it you want to self host I imagine you could try).

inthe.am "Unable to acquire lock" Chronic Error on Sync
I've been trying, without success, to sync my local instance of Taskwarrior to my inthe.am account for the past several days.
-
Recurring task interval sync issue with inthe.am
I read somewhere that inthe.am uses older version of taskserver (their gitgub?) and at one point certain recurrance periods were not possible to sync, but they said that when you changed them to something compatible sync should be going fine.

A plain-text file format for todos and check lists
An online site that does task warrior sync - https://inthe.am

Do not share your taskd.credentials publicly
Please do not share your taskd.credentials. The taskd 1.1.0 process does not validate PEM files against your account. Any PEM files that can be used to access the server, can be used with any taskd.credentials to access that account. This applies especially to inthe.am and FreeCinc, where anyone can easily get a valid set of PEM files, and access your account if you post your taskd.credentials publicly.

Task sync, is task.credentials a private field?
I just set up task syncing using inthe.am which adds a few fields to my taskrc. I normally track my taskrc in a git repo with the rest of my dotfiles.

How do you handle shopping, purchase or grocery lists ?
to view a list of only the grocery store items. I sync my task list to https://inthe.am/ and have it available on my phone.

My productivity app is a never-ending .txt file
I use the same system but with highlighting/formatting of https://xit.jotaen.net
I even learn how to create a plugin for the IntelliJ IDEA and created one for highlighting this format (love idea hotkeys and workflow).

Show HN: Tuido, a Terminal Todo List
This is my personal todo app, which I made a while back after the original https://xit.jotaen.net/ post. tuido is written in go, with the bubbletea tui framework.
My daily workflow involves creating YYYY-MM-DD.md and taking notes, many of which are effectively low-level todos that fall below the threshold for more public or involved issue trackers. Problem was that these half-hazard todos weren't tracked at all.
After seeing the [x]it spec, it seemed clear that a little tooling could fix this. I've been reasonably happy with it.

A plain-text file format for todos and check lists
There currently are a bunch of editor plugins and one CLI tool. You find a collection of tools (all third-party) linked from the project website: https://xit.jotaen.net
