The new, free and open source 'Ani_grass ' shader </> for MagicaVoxel creates a voxel terrain with animated grass. It uses Voronoi diagram to randomize parameters and animation. Free download on Gumroad: bit.ly/2ZahMGy
Are you going to make shaders for MagicaVoxel? Nice! You will need some knowledge of the GLSL language . Some tutorials and articles: https://thebookofshaders.com/ https://mercury.sexy/hg\_sdf/ https://iquilezles.org/www/index.htm https://github.com/lachlanmcdonald/magicavoxel-shaders/wiki/Shaders-in-MagicaVoxel this code was based on the distance map from the shader by Tempally, 2017, which was based on the code by David Hoskins, 2013. You can find the links in the text if you download my file. The source code has been modified and adapted to work with magicavoxel. The controllable parameters were added and tuned and now, , as i think, it's a convenient and useful tool for voxel artists. Thank you and good luck in learning.

"stay awhile"
You can thank u/mode_vis for those beauts. They have a whole list of different shaders you can purchase and add to your shaders library: https://gumroad.com/mode_vis -- This GitHub account also has a great list of shaders, and instructions on how to add if you're unfamiliar: https://github.com/lachlanmcdonald/magicavoxel-shaders/wiki Also, u/ArtChanny has some of the best tutorials on MagicaVoxel I've found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYLJ5EVvfVQ&t

Any tips on repeating a brick pattern efficiently?
Alternatively, you can use Shader (shortcut 'C') brush for quick work. You need to download and install the brick shader first from lachlanmcdonald github.

Creation Zer0 ( The Last is the First ) | made in #magicavoxel
Thank you, I'm glad you like it. Besides practicing, I would say that experimentation and exploring all of the tools and features that magicavoxel has even if you don't plan on using them at the time, but try learning how to use them all, some are very powerful. Learn commands that could be put into the command bar at the bottom. Also gather up all the shaders you can and learn those as well, some good ones are: https://github.com/lachlanmcdonald/magicavoxel-shaders https://github.com/patStar https://gumroad.com/mode_vis?sort=newest Watching some process videos like those of Knosvoxel or Madmaraca ( youtube.com/MadMaraca ) are great ideas as well though I didn't have the pleasure of having those when I started....they would have accelerated my progress. Also join the Magicavoxelcommunity ( MVC_Discord ) channel on Discord, lots of help and ideas to get and see there.
