Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.
infra-ansible
- Inherited a 6.9.4 Satellite, upgrade to 6.11 or build fresh and migrate?
-
Has anyone had any luck setting up a playbook to register a new RHEL box to an on-prem RHSM satellite?
See this example role from the Redhat-COP projects. With this role, the only difference is that you specify the URL of your satellite instance instead of access.redhat.com.
-
Make your own playbooks/roles or use existing roles (from Ansible Galaxy etc...) ?
9/10 times I will end up writing my own roles, though I will sometimes look at Galaxy roles for inspiration if I need ideas. For infrastructure-type code, the Redhat-COP repository is useful to browse through. This is part of the Redhat Communities of Practice, which has a lot of useful proof-of-concept stuff.

- foreman-maintain packages for Ansible?

If you're using AAP2x with Automation Hub you can use the redhat.satellite collection. See https://github.com/RedHatSatellite/satellite-ansible-collection. Otherwise you can also look at theforeman collection at https://github.com/theforeman/foreman-ansible-modules. There is a role available under both collection for activation keys.

how am i supposed to provision servers with ansible without kickstart
and you can control the configuration of Foreman and send commands to it (e.g. provision a new server) using the Foreman Ansible Collection at https://github.com/theforeman/foreman-ansible-modules
- Foreman with ansible is a good thing to use ?
What are some alternatives?
openshift-management - Set of maintenance scripts & cron jobs for OpenShift Container Platform
katello-centos-errata-import - Imports CentOS (from http://cefs.steve-meier.de/) errata into Katello
ara - ARA Records Ansible and makes it easier to understand and troubleshoot.
ovirt-ansible-collection - Ansible collection with official oVirt modules and roles
Ansible - Ansible is a radically simple IT automation platform that makes your applications and systems easier to deploy and maintain. Automate everything from code deployment to network configuration to cloud management, in a language that approaches plain English, using SSH, with no agents to install on remote systems. https://docs.ansible.com.
ansible-podman-collections - Repository for Ansible content that can include playbooks, roles, modules, and plugins for use with the Podman tool
csv-source-of-truth - Published Cisco DevNet Code Exchange: Use Microsoft Excel (and CSV files) as a Source of Truth for Ansible playbooks
