    I thought about something similar for the 6502. I created a stimulated version of the 6202, then I thought of implanting it with TTL series on breadboards. I think it is feasible, but complex and tidious. More that 50 chip I guess. Believe it or not, the most expensive part above all others are multiplexes. 8 bits Mux-8 requires lot of chips.
