Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

On Implementation of Distributed Protocols
Internet Computer blockchain (ICP) — a general-purpose blockchain system developed by the DFINITY Foundation (written in Rust);
- We're thrilled to announce that #ckETH is now live 🚀 Explore trustless multi-chain Web3 with #ICP and discover smooth interactions with #ETH See how you can interact with it 👇

[Blog post]: Scaling Rust builds with Bazel
Yes, non-rust dependencies can be a pain. We addressed this issue in three ways: 1. Sometimes, it just works™ if the crate has a copy of the C code and uses the cc crate to compile it. It's usually slow to compile C in a build script, but it works. 2. Sometimes, we write a custom BUILD script for direct dependencies and link external libraries by hand. Example: lmdb and lmdb-sys. 3. If all of the above is not an option or is too much work, we add a native library to the Docker container that runs our builds.

Why no popularity ?
One thing that sticks out to me is that, while their code is open source, it has a restrictive license, the Apache License: https://github.com/dfinity/ic/blob/master/LICENSE - most open source projects opt for the MIT License.

Facts: Most active crypto projects by github commits this week 👨💻 ICP is out building them all. 🤘
Sources please? https://github.com/dfinity/ic/pulse talks of only ~100 commits (IC only, not including the other repos)

Binance crazy for ICP !!! ♡ 25.39% ♡
https://github.com/dfinity/ic/graphs/contributors You can see there are many contributors, whose own GitHub profiles show contributions to OTHER projects. For example, just clicking on one contributor, John Wiegley (Principal Engineer at DFINITY), you will see a long history of open source contributions: https://github.com/jwiegley

New to ICP. Why did it crash?

Important Updates this week on increasing smart contract canister memory from 4 GB to 300 GB
Thursday, August 26 - Draft proposal posted on the forum for review. We will post to the developer forum thread on the project a markdown doc (hosted on Github repo for NNS proposals) that explains the project design and intent so people can see what the project is about and how we intend to achieve the desired goal.

We need more info on proposals
Looking through some recent proposals for examples.. there's been a lot of subnet updates to version 071d8388c1b4905072c9417ede0f75cea400260 so it would be great to have a link to a change summary for version 071d8388c1b4905072c9417ede0f75cea4002600 (something similar to what was included in the NnsCanisterUpgrade proposal here).

I want to know more about ICP
- The entire premise of the NNS (Network Nervous System) is that we believe many people will be smarter than us and that ssituations will arise that the ICP blockchain needs to adapt to... and we want to govern those changes on-chain. You can see more here: https://github.com/ic-association/nns-proposals

Node operator rewards
Please see https://github.com/ic-association/nns-proposals/blob/main/proposals/node_provider_rewards/20210611.md, these rewards include all the time back to when the provider first made their nodes available, it's not just one month's tally.

Internet Computer (ICP) just set another new ATL of <$30... down over 96% in under 2 months.
Given the code is public here - https://github.com/dfinity with all the different repos of the project, you can see updates that occur. The updates to the code are published as proposals via NNS and on the git repo here -https://github.com/ic-association/nns-proposals/blob/main/proposals/network_canister_management/20210527T2203Z.md. Finally, they can be verified here - https://medium.com/dfinity/verifying-the-internet-identity-code-a-walkthrough-c1dd7a53f883.

How profitable to be a node provider?
Looking for the very first principal in this proposal list turns out owkm4-f44nz-g23do-jicwx-zzyhm-p66ru-lbeua-fwuly-gnmgc-dx7e2-gqe got 24561.4999 + 17381.7836 = 41943.2835 ICP at June 10.

Can we have any FORMAL explanation from DFY or ICA? those millions of ICP going to exchanges represent what?
It's probably node provider rewards - https://github.com/ic-association/nns-proposals/blob/main/proposals/node_provider_rewards/20210611.md
