i3-layouts VS i3altlayout

hello! i use a wide screen monitor and found the centered 3column layout to be the best. but unfortunately, i3-layouts doesn't work anymore. does anyone know how to set up this layout -> https://github.com/eliep/i3-layouts/blob/main/img/3columns.gif ?

However it is a "static" wm which means, unlike "dynamic" wms, you can't, automatically arrange windows in predefined layouts. But you can configure it to do it (just found https://github.com/eliep/i3-layouts).

You can make i3 behave like a dynamic tiler using scripts. i3-layouts has worked well for me.

I started using https://github.com/eliep/i3-layouts for auto tiling, but switched to using tabbed layout most of the time.

The vstack layout of i3-layouts does what you want automatically, or you can just ask manually for a vertical split.

https://github.com/eliep/i3-layouts it's a good start point, if you know python programming you can make a fork, write the code and offer a pull request for them. Otherwise, you can register a "feature request" on the issues page, and wait for some dev to implement it.

im trying to get my windows to open in a spiral pattern in i3-gaps. i downloaded this script from github [https://github.com/eliep/i3-layouts/], but it doesnt seem to work. at one point i restarted my machine and it worked briefly, but now its stopped and idk how to fix it. my windows just open side by side.

Is there a way I can set a windows minimum size [when not floating]? Also is there a way I can make my own default layout something like this i3 -layouts
