An unconventional but effective way of saying "I use Arch BTW."
I have not tried it since > Gnome 41 as I was mainly at home the last months, but I used this package in the past https://github.com/i3-gnome/i3-gnome

KDE: A Nice Tiling Environment and a Surprisingly DE
I would also highly recommend i3 + i3-gnome combination [1]. It adds a lot of gnome features out of box to i3, like sound control, notifications, etc.

Gnome, minimal-isation towards i3
Remove/change all the gnome hotkeys/shortcuts using dconf-editor so I can use Gnome environment like i3. I do enjoy the ease of plug and play-ablity of gnome against i3. But I just...don't like the environment. I have checked i3-gnome. It makes the HDMI output stop working.

dwm on Pop OS

Has anyone had success installing i3wm over gnome and keeping gnome settings?
Hmm, sounds a bit like you'd want i3-gnome, which states it has support for gnome 40, though my guess is that this will give you Gnome DE with i3 instead of Mutter being the only difference, so no polybar.

Windows 11 dark theme is too dark!
None of it is user friendly, but if you can follow directions you can be up and running in 30 minutes. I recommend SecureUxTheme which patches the necessary files in memory.

Anybody use 3rd party dark theme?
The last discussion of dark theme in this sub was like 6-7 years ago, so I wonder if anyone use it now. I found two option for the installer 1. SecureUXTheme and 2. UltraUXThemePatcher, but for the theme it self I haven't found what I'm looking for which is dark and minimal theme.

I just want a dark Task Manager that's all
Instead of UXThemePatcher, you should use SecureUXTheme.

Black screen pulling me out of fullscreen video / game and freezing
Hard to explain, been happening since today after I installed a few apps, namely Ear Trumpet from Microsoft Store, tried installing and using WindowBlinds from a YouTube QoL recommendations video here and here but uninstalled after it didn't work, as well as Black In Black / BIB here + UltraUXThemePatcher + SecureUXTheme to try and get BIB to work (which it didn't), and finally Twinkle Tray to adjust desktop brightness like you can on laptops. My best guess is the WindowBlinds app fucking something up, or Twinkle Tray turning off my screen when it goes to black mode, seemingly coming back on when I press my keyboard or mouse, and then freezing and accepting no responses.

Windows 11 dark mode is not no dark. How did they forget to implement dark mode in basic dialog/popup windows?
Incidentally, I use said SecureUxTheme patcher to solve this problem: https://github.com/namazso/SecureUxTheme.

is the uxstyle program safe?
Look for SecureUXTheme, which is compatible with secure boot.
