Alternatives to Hubitat and Home Assistant
Use hubitat as your zwave/zigbee hub. Then add the hubitat add on (https://github.com/jason0x43/hacs-hubitat) and do automation through home assistant. (well I use node red).

Habitat vs HA
Then I use https://github.com/jason0x43/hacs-hubitat with Home Assistant so that all of my Hubitat devices show up in HA. HA is way better at pretty much everything else. The Google Assistant integration is more feature rich, there are a ton of wifi/internet integrations, the automation tooling both built in and via things like Node-Red are way better and most importantly the mobile app is years ahead of Hubitat

Anyone working on integrating Midea AC?
I already had Kevin’s MQTT app installed on my Hubitat, it provides ability for two way communication utilizing MQTT as a go-between between HE and HA, and in the past has worked great for me. See the following two links: https://community.hubitat.com/t/beta-mqtt-beta-3d-released-5th-july/38013 https://github.com/xAPPO/MQTT The MQTT app in Hubitat recognized the midea-ac entity as a climate device (and I was excited at this point), I selected the device to enable it & clicked done & looked for the new device in HE and couldn’t find it. Checked the logs & found a note that climate devices were not supported yet. So, no go.
