Better Google Calendar API for Python
Yeah. I have a task to write some comprehensive documentation on colors
I wanted a calendar reminder of how many push-ups I need to do every day. As a software engineer, I couldn’t afford to spend 10 minutes putting the events manually. So I spent 3 hours getting the official API to work to do this for me. Then I thought that this simple task shouldn’t take 3 hours and spent the next couple of days implementing the initial version of the GCSA (Google Calendar Simple API). Several years later, I’m happy that people find this project useful, you might too: https://github.com/kuzmoyev/google-calendar-simple-api

Facebook and Instagram threaten to charge for access on iOS 14.5 unless you give them your data
There used to be the option to download all birthdays but facebook blocked that. I've used https://github.com/mobeigi/fb2cal to export all birthdays in ics format and imported them to a new google calendar. You'll need a laptop but it should be working for ios too, just clone the project and follow the instructions.
- Is it possible to extract birthdays of all my friends from Facebook that I can import to the calendar app of my phone? If yes, how?

Deleting Facebook
Not tried it myself, but there is this script:
> Fetch Facebook Birthdays events and create an ICS file for use with calendar apps
https://github.com/mobeigi/fb2cal
I'm certain it was possible to create a link on Facebook that could be used to import birthdays to your regular calendar application, but I can't find this feature anymore.
