How to make a hex wargame like Panzer General 2?
There are not that many well-known games made with Godot (yet?) overall. I think it is a nice (and free) engine, with a good built-in scripting language. It has built-in hex-grid support as well and someone made a hex-and-counter helper library for it too (not sure how good or stable it is). The author previously used Godot to make the digtal version of Castle Itter.

3 classes to compute 3D LOS, shortest path, ... on 1 image based hex map.
there is a demo in the source tree but it's not included in the asset. Maybe I did wrong.

Ok moving along with Godot, I'm really liking everything I'm playing with and viewing
draw the hexes on your map using any graphic tool (or my gimp plugin https://github.com/jeremyz/hexmap), then use computation to know which hex you clikc on : https://github.com/jeremyz/godot-hexgrid

Hey guys need some direction on Godot
Out of the box, godot does not support hexagonal maps afaik. It is possible, a good example is this project by jeremyz: https://github.com/jeremyz/godot-hexgrid
