check minimal ui, if its compatible with your system its great at making the interface nice for low resolution screens: smaller icons, everything can be hidden, it also looks nice.

Save your D&DBeyond-Books as PDFs
It gives you whatever you've paid for on DDB. So if you only have the PHB, you only get the PHB backed up into Foundry for example. I'm not sure how it maps because I haven't inspected the code lol.

Stupid simple directions for going from vtt install to running Phandelver for 5?
Since WotC haven't licensed anything for Foundry, Foundry itself only contains the SRD material for 5E. To get LMoP into Foundry in the simplest way possible, you'll want to use something like the D&D Beyond Importer, a tutorial video for which is available here.
