ffupdate VS Firefox-automatic-install-for-Linux

I prefer to just use ffupdate and tbupdate. Firefox releases binary compatible browsers for linux, why not take advantage of it?

ffupdate is a script which will update firefox, either vanilla, beta, nightly, or devedition. I made this because debian does not provide the latest firefox, and downloading and installing firefox by hand, while better than compiling from source, is tedious. This script automates the whole process of installing and updating firefox, and it can also install and update thunderbird. I have since learned that lots of other people wrote scripts to accomplish the same thing, so my scripts get lost in the shuffle in github.

i personally would also recomment you to start using the flatpak version, but if you really dont want to but still want to have an easy way to install the current verison, maybe this: https://github.com/Linux-Is-Best/Firefox-automatic-install-for-Linux could interest you. Hope it helps.

It looks like you are using your distro provided version of Firefox. Use https://github.com/Linux-Is-Best/Firefox-automatic-install-for-Linux to download a Mozilla build that comes with the Private Window option you want.

I use https://github.com/Linux-Is-Best/Firefox-automatic-install-for-Linux/ for Nightly, but you could probably use it for release as well.

Understanding that there are three types of people, I have included three (3) different ways to install Mozilla Firefox. One of them is the personal installer, which does not require SUDO and does not install Firefox for everyone, just you, privately, isolated in your own little corner.
