Adafruit Feather ESP32-S2 with BME280 will not work!
This is the best expliantion of what I'm seeing but the solution the issue was closed with doesnt work for me (the switch.turn_on = I2C_POWER line causes an error). https://github.com/esphome/feature-requests/issues/1511

I've had a github issue for ESPhome open for a while on this. Although some possible solutions have been presented, I don't think anyone has been successful.

Connect Midea Dehumidifier to WiFi without using the App?
Have you replaced the Wifi module with an ESP8266 dongle, or just trying to use the stock one? This and this are usually the go-to options.

Connecting AC to a Thermometer/Thermostat
If really you want to go all in, swap the WiFi module with something like this, this, or this, write your own ESPHome yaml code, and configure away.

I got my dongle connected to wifi, how to I do anything with it?
I bought an ESP dongle for my mini-split (https://github.com/dudanov/iot-uni-dongle). When plugged in it created a wifi with a captive portal so I could give it my wifi credentials. This all worked fine and I can now see the device on my home network.
What are some alternatives?
