Master login to customer's account bad practice?
Since it can be challenging to replicate production DB issues exactly, I would recommend creating anonymized dumps of your data with something like https://github.com/evilmartians/evil-seed
What are some alternatives?
When comparing fast_count and evil-seed you can also consider the following projects:
mysql-binuuid-rails - Store UUIDs in binary MySQL database columns. Saves storage, and increases performance.
active_record_doctor - Identify database issues before they hit production.
pluck_in_batches - A faster alternative to the custom use of `in_batches` with `pluck`
devise_masquerade - Extension for devise, enable login as functionality. Add link to the masquerade_path(resource) and use it.
counter_culture - Turbo-charged counter caches for your Rails app.
