Tangential at best, but this project made me think of evilpass, which is the funniest password validation scheme ever!
It probably does increase security, but it also gives the impression of actively hacking you.

I just read through the 65LOC source, and it's because it swaps out an active or inactive extension icon based on your active tab.

Updating the password of s site the doesn't allow pasting
I've been using the Don't Fuck With Paste extension on Firefox for years. One exists for chrome as well. It prevents the website from being able to block pasting.
