how to control L298N DC motor with Nodemcu Esp8266 through Alexa?
Check this gitrepo out I used the relay one with the multiple relays for an Alexa controlled garage door - hope this helps https://github.com/sinricpro/esp8266-esp32-sdk/tree/master/examples

Code I used for multiple relays but sounds like you only need 1 - https://github.com/sinricpro/esp8266-esp32-sdk/tree/master/examples/Relay

stepper motor with L298N and nodemcu with tasmota
So I have everything wired up (correctly, I hope!). I used this schematic to hook everything up, my only question is the difference between vmot and voc on the A4988. I guessed that vmot (motor?) connected 12 to volts and voc (control?) went to 5 volts. I powered it up and the tasmota web interface came up, so that was encouraging. So D5, D6 and D7 are connected to A4988 direction (d5), enable (d6) and step (d7). I've looked through all the different possibilities in configuring each pin in the module config, nothing really looked obvious. It would help if I had any clue what most of those possibilities did, but I don't, so here we are! Suggestions, tips welcome!
