[Q] Do I correctly understand how to put error bars on a mean of true/false trials? It's so confusing.
No, this is a whole simulation with a true or false output for each Bernoulli experiment. Generate hundreds or thousands of points in N-dimensional space, calculate Euclidean distance between them, etc. This for example.

- For a non-voting-nerd friendly name, we should call Condorcet methods "Head to Head", "Matchup Voting", or "1v1 Voting", and explain it in terms of "matchups"

Today, the President of France said he’s going to force through a raise of the retirement age without a vote. Tonight, Paris looks like this.
I recommend taking a look at some empirical experiments on voter satisfaction under different systems, such as this site. Ranked choice (labeled there IRV) is pretty much the second worst performer of the "major" systems, after FPTP. Score voting, STAR and even approval generally do a lot better. In any case, I strongly feel electoral systems should be chosen based on actual research on what will result in the fairest results for voters, not gut feelings and things people have recently heard about.

Ranked Choice Voting: Why or why not?
It scores extremely low on the Voter Satisfaction Efficiency scale. Star Voting and Score Voting lets you show preferences and is simpler than ranked voting.

CMV: Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) is the best voting method for achieving the best representation.
RCV has higher vse than plurality, but is towards the bottom of the pack. Most systems will make the average voter happier with the result than RCV. Score, STAR, approval and condorcet methods like Schulze all have much better vse's than RCV.
