Okay so the arch iso aint booting on my system
https://github.com/flying-dude/efly This one does its job. Alternatively if the last Arch ISO doesn't work download the second to last or third to last, it doesn't change much for a "normal" installation

Install Arch Linux With a Single Shell Command
So I created a Python script efly-dd , which does exactly that.

efly: Testing the New ROM Image
I have overhauled the efly project to include a rom image, that works similar to a traditional iso image. All packages and config files are placed on a read-only squashfs. And via overlayfs, changes are written to a tmpfs and kept until you reboot or power down.

I strictly followed the ArchWiki, but I can't get TigerVNC to work on my EndeavourOS
i preserved the old script here and it still works just fine. no idea why they don't allow this anymore.

efly: A Graphical Live Medium with Persistent Storage
wget https://github.com/flying-dude/efly/releases/download/latest/efly-live.img truncate --size=10G efly-live.img git clone https://github.com/flying-dude/efly efly/scripts/efly-qemu --uefi efly-live.img
Creating the disk image yourself is very easy, if you are running an Arch Linux system. How to do that is explained on github.

Tutorial: How to Flash a USB Stick?
For my efly live system project I created a little writeup on how to correctly place a raw disk image on a USB stick, so that you can boot an operating system from the stick. It is very newbie-friendly but also touches on some advanced subjects like block devices and hardware firmware.

Firefox vs Chromium
the results of this poll. :)
i am currently working on a linux live system and chose to ship it with chromium preinstalled. however, i talked to a bunch of people and a lot of them actually prefer firefox. so to get some actual data, i decided to make a poll.

testing: increased file system storage for the efly live system
modern desktop systems quite often have 64GB of ram or more available. but the efly live system (repo here) had a very conservative restriction of just 256MB for the copy-on-write virtual file system.

Is it this issue? This is for Bottles but I think the problem is the same. See the referenced issue in that one for a solution.

Bottles stuck on setup wizard
Seems to be a well known bug: https://github.com/bottlesdevs/Bottles/issues/2725
- Bottles 51.6 Released
- New Bottles release (release 51.6) [Proton/Wine manager]
-
Run hacked sofwares with wine
As long as it's compatible with Wine, it will run. You can use Bottles to manage it. Also Autodesk Maya has a Linux version.
- Passing env vars - Bottles ignores "flatpak override -u"
-
I'm looking to stop the hopping
Bottles and distrobox should have you covered.
