- Is this a good system?

what do you think about portals or wormholes in elite?
You have EDScout, that see if your current route have been submited to EDDB. Don't know if keep working.
-
What do you use to enhance your experience?
I can’t believe no one has mentioned ED Scout yet. It’s an incredibly helpful tool for exploration. Here is a short review video of the tool.
-
Fighter jets show the direction the plane is travelling on the HUD, would this be a useful feature in E:D (especially low-altitude flying)?

Simple question
Pretty sure edscout may have something you are looking for. It tells you the value and some quick info about planets
-
Got my Cobra and 750k. Reckon I'm good to go exploring now.
just pick up a detailed surface scanner and fuel scoop then you're set, ED Scout is something worth considering too.
-
Is it worth doing the scans?
If you are on PC, there is a 3rd party tool that really helps with this called ED Scout. It will tell you the approximate value of a planet before you surface scan it so you don't waste your time scanning worthless planets. It's really great. Here is an EXAMPLE of a system in ED Scout that I scanned recently. The list of planets at the top are "high value targets" that the tool recommended I scan. The list of planets below that are the ones I actually scanned. You can download the tool and learn more HERE.
-
This system I scanned came to a value of over 8 mil! Now is a really good time to turn it in with the current CG bonus of x3 value to exploration data.
The app is a bit flakey and stops working pretty regularly. To fix this, just close it, and then relaunch it. You can get it HERE.

Exploring Credits
ED Scout is much more compact and less featured, but has the ability to display output to a tablet or phone, in case you don't have a second monitor. https://github.com/joncage/ed-scout

Felt like i'd hit the motherlode
Just looked it up on EDcodex, looked cool, installed the .exe from this link and it's instantly working lol Thx OP! I had some extra space on the tablet and a dire need for this tool!

Finally Finished my 70ly Phantom.
On PC I use Spansh (https://spansh.co.uk/plotter) for the plotting itself, then AutoNeutron (https://github.com/Numerlor/Auto_Neutron) to copy the star I want to jump to into the game. The key difference when using this tools is to not use the ingame plotting - spansh will give you a list of stars to jump to.

Visited a neutron star for the first time
Automatic neutron plotter if you find using alt tab 100 times annoying
-
After 5 years on PS4/PS5 I finally reached Beagle Point.
Auto neutron

I've finished most of my work on Auto_Neutron, a tool that helps you plot routes from Spansh
Today I believe I finally got the project into a state I'm relatively satisfied with, so I've decided to share it here, you can find more information on the project's github page

*puts out his space-thumb* Any Fleetcarrier aprox. 3000 Ly from Beagle in the general direction of Colonia to offer a ride?
There's a couple of options for automatically pasting the next jump into your map on arrival. https://github.com/Numerlor/Auto_Neutron is the one i use.
-
Auto-Copy Next In Route
This is also possible if you use the autoneutron plotter plugin with edmc from here https://github.com/Numerlor/Auto_Neutron

12 hours and over 500 jumps later and I finally made it to Sagittarius A
I use Numerlor's AutoNeutron: GitHub - Numerlor/Auto_Neutron
