Archiving Reddit without using an app that relies on their API
Seeing that the move to make the Reddit API cost cash, I'm afraid that something like this won't function when I'm done seeing what I want to archive from this place. So, I'm asking to see what options from Website Mirroring tools I got, and how to set them up to fetch media files as well, other than just the website's layout and such.

Question regarding the Imgur ToS change
https://github.com/josephrcox/easy-reddit-downloader can read a URL text list.

Solution for mass download of GDPR saved_posts.csv?
I'm also in a same position, currently using this https://github.com/josephrcox/easy-reddit-downloader . It does the job fairly well, but it cannot download videos with audio because there's some issue. Everything else works really well. You can place the links from the CSV file in a text document it generates (more detail here: https://github.com/josephrcox/easy-reddit-downloader#downloading-from-a-post-list-download-specific-urls ).

Best way to download posts from art-focused subreddits?
I've been using easy-reddit-downloader. It'll grab the ones hosted on reddit. Sites it doesn't handle get saved as URL links, so I wrote a wrapper script that attempts to use gallery-dl & yt-dlp to try to download them.

Downloading all 'Saved' reddit images/gifs/videos?
I'm currently doing something similar. If you can, request a data package from reddit from your entire stay on the platform or a specific period. After that, open the saved_posts.csv file (If I recall that's whats it is called) and copy the links from the posts you want to download (Note: you might have posts which may be deleted, best thing for those is to manually download them by searching the links in Internet's Archive WayBack Machine tool). Then, download this app https://github.com/josephrcox/easy-reddit-downloader and follow the setup instructions. When its done setting up, follow these instructions https://github.com/josephrcox/easy-reddit-downloader#downloading-from-a-post-list-download-specific-urls and you should be on your way. It might take a while if you got many posts that you want to archive.

Need tips or in general a bit of help trying to locally save Reddit posts
I've recently started using easy-reddit-downloader, although it doesn't sound like exactly what you want.
- Open source simple Reddit post downloader that doesn't require OAUTH. Downloads all post types, converts GIFs to MP4, and enables downloading any subreddit(s) on repeat at set intervals (download new posts every minute, every hour, etc.)

Limited Reddit access?
Until now, I ran a script every day using bulk-downloader-for-reddit to archive about ten subreddits. It usually took less than an hour each time, even when he had to download video files of a few hundred MB.

Any methods with Unraid to Automatically download all saved items from Reddit
Look into bdfr, it's a cli reddit downloader.

Goodbye everyone
I'm with you! I've already mass edited all my comments on both and removed all my submissions on this account, and my other/older one. Just waiting on bdfr to finish pulling all of my saved things for me, then I'll delete both. I may just be a tiny drop in the user ocean, but some of my posts definitely helped others and contributed useful things.

How to keep my saved
A GDPR export should have all the data, but they’re taking their time processing. An alternative is to use an archiving tool like BDFR. Unfortunately, it’s limited to 1000 posts due to API limitations.

The future of r/ObscureMedia and Reddit
r/DataHoarder was the big reason I started using Reddit regularly. While I don't speak for all of them, many will suggest bdfr or HTTrack for all your scraping needs.

So, how is everyone?
I’m going to delete my Reddit account soon to further the protest, since by this point I don’t use it much anymore. I already backed up my entire post history using this tool since there are some important memories there for me, so I basically have nothing to lose now.
