Project mention: Archiving Reddit without using an app that relies on their API | /r/DataHoarder | 2023-06-01Seeing that the move to make the Reddit API cost cash, I'm afraid that something like this won't function when I'm done seeing what I want to archive from this place. So, I'm asking to see what options from Website Mirroring tools I got, and how to set them up to fetch media files as well, other than just the website's layout and such.
Project mention: Do you get stronger even if your calorie intake is below your needs? | /r/bodyweightfitness | 2023-05-12Over the last few years it's been increasingly more common for people to write scripts that automatically downvote everything in certain subs or everything that a specific user posts in public subs. They used to be rare occurances, but these days you can easily find such scripts just with a simple Google search (here's one for example) that are both easy to set up and customise. Why anyone would go through the trouble to do this, however, I won't even waste the time to think about.
