Secondly, you have to think about search. making pretty notes faster?
A good theme will obviously help out of the box. I have been using Hyde scarfs Mado Miniflow recently because it is stunning. Some amazing themes even come with advanced prettiness functionality like Minimal theme, which has helper snippets out of the box to do cool cards and galleries.
