I've grown out of the loop. What's the goto way to play the Java edition online with a self hosted server?
In terms of deploying the server I'd recommend https://github.com/itzg/docker-minecraft-bedrock-server, it's pretty much state of the art and uses Docker which is industry standard for deploying instances.

Minecraft Bedrock 1.20 addon command error
I'm working with my friends on opening a Minecraft server as a docker these days.

Client problem with bedrock Server: Unable to connect to world
I have a minecraft bedrock server running on a docker container on my NAS, with port forwarding on my router. https://github.com/itzg/docker-minecraft-bedrock-server

40 Containers & Counting...
I also run a minecraft server or two from time to time, and three separate instances of Foundry Virtual Tabletop for friends.
-
Minecraft Bedrock Server no longer able to be joined over WAN
I found issue #289 of the docker image which appears to be a similar problem, although it might be an issue with the bedrock server itself, not the docker image.

I think I'm done with bedrock
Note that if you have access to a pc or server which can run Docker, it's quite easy to run a server yourself: https://github.com/itzg/docker-Minecraft-bedrock-server

how to update a ubuntu bedrock server to 1.19.21
Personally I just use this docker image, that checks the version and grabs the latest version available on their site, at every launch.

[Bedrock]Mobs aren't spawning underground
Hello everyone, I just recently start my own MineCraft:BE Server using https://github.com/itzg/docker-minecraft-bedrock-server. My configuraion is like this([email protected], according to https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Server.properties#Bedrock_Edition_3):
-
Bedrock Server for ARM
If using Docker, I highly recommend using this Minecraft server container by itzg, it's highly configurable and has ARM and ARM64 images in addition to the regular x86-64 (Note: itzg also has a Bedrock server container, but that one doesn't have images for ARM).
homepage
- Highly customizable homepage with Docker and service API integrations
- Homepage JDownloader widget

Just started building a home server in my Raspberry Pi 3B+
It's Homepage. It's great for dashboarding, but has a few shortcomings in that you need to secure it behind a reverse proxy, otherwise you'll end up leaking credentials to the whole internet, unless you abstain from using its "connectors".

Just started homelabbing in an old Raspberry Pi 3B+
I use dietpi as os, the dash board is from homepage
- Bookmark manager with a focus on organization?
- Is there a dashboard to list the services I have running?
-
Dashboard for monitoring
I use Homepage. Has integrations with nearly every service I use and it's pretty easy to set up
-
Setting up a local domain
Step 2. Build a Dashboard. There are many options for personal dashboards, but I run Ben Phelps' Homepage in a Docker container. It is fast and simple to configure with YAML files. Here is a screenshot of my home dashboard. Homepage has more features than I use. Any ports needed for your services will be added to the URLs in the Homepage config file. Then, all you need to do is create a bookmark to Homepage in your partner's browser.

It's dashboard Wednesday! And I'm finally content with how mine looks;)
Good to see a dashboard post here that isnt just using Homepage :)

What kind of Alpine user are you?
The control panel is called Homepage. I like it more than Heimdall. To manage Docker I use Portainer.
What are some alternatives?
Geyser - A bridge/proxy allowing you to connect to Minecraft: Java Edition servers with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
Heimdall - An Application dashboard and launcher
minecraft-bedrock-server-bridge - Minecraft Bedrock Server Bridge
homer-dashboard
Floodgate - Hybrid mode plugin to allow for connections from Geyser to join online mode servers.
Organizr - HTPC/Homelab Services Organizer - Written in PHP
minecraft-mac-window-fix - Fixes some issues with Minecraft on macOS
homarr - Customizable browser's home page to interact with your homeserver's Docker containers (e.g. Sonarr/Radarr)
BedrockConnect - Join any Minecraft Bedrock Edition server IP on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4/PS5
Portainer - Making Docker and Kubernetes management easy.
docker-minecraft-server - Docker image that provides a Minecraft Server that will automatically download selected version at startup
Speedtest-Tracker - Continuously track your internet speed
