[Suggestion] Physical remote for Home Automation
I had to install Lirc on my Ubuntu server and then found a docker container that converted Lirc signals to MQTT. I already had a MQTT server running for my Zigbee devices. The end result is that i can now use my Harmony remote to control anything in Home Assistant. I mostly use it for a bright lamp in my living room as it's easier to reach for the remote and push a button than it is to use voice, my PC or an app on my phone.

You could modify your apt source file with https://github.com/s-h-3-l-l/katoolin3, https://github.com/LionSec/katoolin, or add the kali sources yourself to install what you need.

Trying to install Kali Linux on my Lenovo but keep running into this issue after install.
Well you can use any other distro of your choice like Ubuntu, Pop_Os , Linux mint, get a feel for Linux and then you can virtualise Kali on these distros, In addition you could also weaponise your existing Debian based distro using a tool called katoolin3 basically install kali tools on a distro of your choice, but before adding that be warned your os might break while updating or so I’ve heard even I haven’t looked into it too much but since you want something of this sort as your main machine then it’s worth taking the time to look into it
