What is the best way to match partial words while searching with Django ORM and PostgreSQL? First I tried "Q + icontains", then "SearchVector and SearchRank" but neither of them gives me everything that I would like. Will I have to use for loop or "trigram_similar"?
Another option is you could look at https://github.com/etianen/django-watson which I have used in the past, but I am not positive if it would work how you want.

Fuzzy Suggestions using Trigram Similarity
Before, django-watson was used to provide suggestions for a given query. This library implements search mechanisms for multiple database backends and is relatively easy to use. For SQLite3, naive regex-matching is used, without the possibility of search result ranking. SQLite3 is only used in the debug server of Raveberry, postgres is the important backend that is used in production setups. For postgres, its built-in full text search is used.

Why are Notifications so much work to do in Django?
My team and I have just put dozens of man hours into building a notifications Django app for our Django project. It consists of a Notification model (heavily inspired by this https://github.com/django-notifications/django-notifications) and we've added ways to send notifications, manage which models & which events create notifications and ways for users to manage their preferences.
- Allowing users to create automated workflows that run on a trigger?

Django - How to track if a user is online/offline in realtime?
I'm considering to use django-notifications and Web Sockets to send real-time notifications to iOS/Android and Web apps. So I'll probably use Django Channels.
