  • turtlebot3

    ROS packages for Turtlebot3

Project mention: Turtlebot3 Refuses to Move in a Straight Line | | 2022-04-11

The tutorial I was using (which comes straight from nav2) says to run ros2 launch nav2_bringup . However, when I went to tune Turtlebot3 via the .param file, it did no change whatsoever. This is because, by default, the file uses up this param file that is significantly different than burger.yaml; After changing it the costmap looks completely different. After reading the source code for the .launch file of the Turtlebot3 nav package for galactic and nav2, I've found out that running ros2 launch nav2_bringup params_file:=[PATH_TO_BURGER_YAML] works and completely fixes this issue.

  • SwagLyrics-For-Spotify

📃 Get lyrics of currently playing Spotify song so you don't sing along with the wrong ones and embarrass yourself later. Very fast.

Project mention: Psst: Fast Spotify client with native GUI, without Electron, built in Rust | | 2021-08-16

this, I wanted to make a little utility for getting lyrics for whatever song is currently playing on spotify[1] and ran into the issue for getting the song name without using the API since that's just inconvenient for the end user. The most popular such project does go that way though.[2]

I ended up writing a small library that does that locally cross-platform by using the metadata from the app.[3] The approach is probably not as robust as the API, but much faster and works well.
