How to manage large files with Heroku and Amazon S3 Buckets in Django Projects
Now that we have defined the solution flow, let’s talk about the tools. The first one I want to mention is django-s3direct, a library to directly upload files to the Amazon bucket from the admin panel. Also, it provides a model field that corresponds to the URL stored in the database.

Large video files uploading?
I haven't used it but https://github.com/bradleyg/django-s3direct looks like it might do the job - upload directly to S3.

django-filebrowser implementation or alternatives for S3 integration
My site currently uses Grappelli and image versions provided by django-filebrowser so I need to keep this functionality. I don't really see many other options.. there is https://github.com/mkaykisiz/DjangoS3Browser but it doesn't look like it supports image versions, and would need skinning to look good with Grappelli. Same for https://github.com/etianen/django-s3-storage
