It happens to everyone
I decided to look at the source for Avrae, one of the most popular D&D Discord bots. It's using Python's PRNG. https://github.com/avrae/d20/blob/47c8c0546cd5f0360b62a51a20d445f830f7fbad/d20/expression.py#L400

I don't know if you still need this, but I've built out a Reddit wrapper for the D20 libary.

Dice Rolling Bot?
Avrea has an open source dice engine (D20) that would make it pretty easy to hook into a Reddit bot.

Should I stay with Foundry?
I guess I'm always surprised when I don't see MapTool mentioned. It's multiplatform, 100% open source and the Takehara framework includes just about all of 5e. No doubt there is some learning curve but you can do everything with it that any other platform does. https://www.rptools.net/toolbox/maptool/. https://github.com/rtakehara/5e-Framework/

Maptools tutorials?
I use Takehara's DnD 5e framework which can be found Here and has a section in the discord "dnd5e-takehara" channel under Frameworks. It works a little differently than the one Arcadum uses but it's way more user friendly. You can add onto it with custom stuff as you learn and it has tons of tutorials that you can find on the Github page I linked.
