The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

How to use RPi Zeros as devices in my HA setup?
Here's one that receives messages from HA and turns on lights (GPIO pins) on the Pi end.

The First Affordable RISC-V Computer Designed to Run Linux
The solution I'm going for (for a similar problem, reading moisture from multiple plants on one esp8266) is tying the outputs from all the sensors together, and only turning on one at a time

Is SiFive HiFive1 Board hardware open source?
Checking the freedom GitHub repo it seems the actual chip is under the Apache 2.0

Some of them are open source: https://github.com/sifive/freedom
So this board has an open source CPU: https://www.sifive.com/boards/hifive1-rev-b
This does not: https://www.sifive.com/boards/hifive-unmatched
Although, I get the feeling they will open source design on a rolling basis. Pure speculation.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing custom_scripts and freedom you can also consider the following projects:
omap-image-builder - omap image builder
lofive - RISC-V microcontroller board based on SiFive FE310.
pi-mqtt-gpio - Expose GPIO modules (Raspberry Pi, Beaglebone, PCF8754, PiFace2 etc.) and digital sensors (LM75 etc.) to an MQTT server for remote control and monitoring.
riscv64-multiplatform
OITProjects - Small OIT Projects, usually to coordinate with Home Assistant
