Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Starlink cuts P99 Latency by 60% [pdf]
one of my sadnesses is so few tests, except those designed by the bufferbloat project, test up + down + latency at the same time.
I like this new one: https://github.com/Zoxc/crusader/releases/tag/v0.0.10-testin.... My favorite remains the rrul test out of the flent.org suite.
Most web speed tests have nearly no predictive power for testing videoconferencing quality, although I am delighted speed test.net cloudflare and others have added a "responsiveness" metric that too few see... https://blog.cerowrt.org/post/speedtests/

Flent: The FLExible Network Tester
I have been steering folk at this new test - called crusader - as it captures the essence of the baseline rrul flent test testing both up + down and latency at the same time - and as it is written in rust, runs on everything. https://github.com/Zoxc/crusader/releases/tag/v0.0.10-testin...

Budget wi-fi 6 router with SQM to reduce bufferbloat.
If you want to test for bufferbloat locally, you can run crusader on both the game streaming server and client.
-
SQM (optimizing for videoconferencing and gaming) on the current eero products
https://github.com/Zoxc/crusader is written in rust and has a detailed staggered start test.

By the way, plotters has an ab_glyph feature now
I've used my fork of your PR to generate bandwidth graphs on Android with crusader. Hopefully I can bump it to the real crate soon :)

fq codel seems like a win for cpu limited routers! Anyone else have experience with it?
I'd would be interesting to see the result from crusader with hardware-only queue, a larger FIFO queue and fq-codel.

Should I try Rust for Android dev?
I've been using egui / android-activity for crusader. Its state is a bit rough lacking proper keyboard support and needing git repos. Having the GUI in Rust does help reduce FFI. egui also doesn't fit the energy efficiency requirement of OP.

Most accurate internet speed test.
You should try Flent from the BufferBloat project.

Tools for measuring Network convergence, delay and packet loss
Flent (Flexible Network Tester) is a powerful network testing utility that aims to simplify the process of gathering and analyzing network performance metrics. Built on top of other open-source tools like Netperf, Iperf, and Ping, Flent automates the process of running multiple tests simultaneously and aggregates the results into comprehensive, easy-to-interpret graphs. Flent's ability to run various tests in parallel and its support for different output formats, such as CSV and JSON, make it an invaluable tool for network performance analysis and troubleshooting.
What are some alternatives?

irtt - Isochronous Round-Trip Tester
plotters - A rust drawing library for high quality data plotting for both WASM and native, statically and realtimely 🦀 📈🚀
Speed-Test - SpeedTest by OpenSpeedTest™ is a Free and Open-Source HTML5 Network Performance Estimation Tool Written in Vanilla Javascript and only uses built-in Web APIs like XMLHttpRequest (XHR), HTML, CSS, JS, & SVG. No Third-Party frameworks or libraries are Required. Started in 2011 and moved to OpenSpeedTest.com dedicated Project/Domain Name in 2013.
sniffglue - Secure multithreaded packet sniffer
pping - Passive ping network monitoring utility (C++)
flutter_rust_bridge - Flutter/Dart <-> Rust binding generator, feature-rich, but seamless and simple.
LibreQoS - A Quality of Experience and Smart Queue Management system for ISPs. Leverage CAKE to improve network responsiveness, enforce bandwidth plans, and reduce bufferbloat.
