Help me understand how to setup firmware and gcode for BLTouch
I’ve followed this guide with no success, didn’t get any level button and couldn’t figure out. Eventually I managed to do it, but I had to use this fork.

General Questions about V2
2) I personally really like the 'advanced menu' marlin 2.0 firmware with the bltouch features turned on. compiling it is a bit of effort but doable if you follow the video the author posted. link: https://github.com/cosmoderp/Marlin/tree/Ender-3-v2-Advanced-Menu-9_18_20

Bltouch On Ender 3 V2 With 427 Motherboard Why Is

After a few hours of learning to use VSC and Platformio on Linux, then a few days of tweaks and recompiles I think I have a perfect firmware that octoprint no longer complains about.
This is the code base I started with. https://github.com/cosmoderp/Marlin

Built a custom marlin for my ender 3 v2. Works pretty good except for two small details.
I'm using a marlin already pre configured for the ender 3 v2 from https://github.com/cosmoderp/Marlin . My language issues are now solved. the only issue I have left is I'm trying to get my printer to recognize a 235x235x250 build volume.

Ender 3 v2 + BLtouch + Smith3d E3V2-2.0.x.17 + Micro Swiss = ahhh (help?)!
For the past few days I have been working on how to adjust my bed center since the Micro Swiss has moved the position of the nozzle XY (& Z). Z is not an issue as this is adjusted in E3V2-2.0.x.17 via the HMI. On the Smith3D gethub they have the code posted via .bin file and I am using the "Smith3D-E3V2-2.0.x.17-Fast-5x5-180321.bin" which cannot be edited to adjust the parameters I need. Smith3d has posted one Source Code for all the E3V2-2.0.x.17... In total there are eight (8) different types (https://github.com/smith3d/Marlin/releases). I have been trying to mirror the Source Code to mimic the parameters I need from the "Smith3D-E3V2-2.0.x.17-Fast-5x5-180321.bin" with no luck, lots of things enabled/disabled.

Is This Process of Updating Firmware Insanely Complicated on Purpose?
You can find those .bin files on multiple locations: -https://github.com/Jyers/Marlin/releases -https://github.com/smith3d/Marlin/releases -https://forums.creality3dofficial.com/download/ender-series/ender-3-v2/

Z Offset with BL touch
Smith3D (https://github.com/smith3d/Marlin/releases/tag/2.0.x.17): Rock solid, no issues. Am currently running tests and bed levels as I am writing this. z-offset looks 'stable'
- Probe z offset changes significantly with each new print.
- Tired to install the BL touch software and after plugging in the micro SD card the screen won’t turn on

Adventure thus far
I was able to get the "old build" from this link to work for me https://github.com/smith3d/Marlin/releases/tag/2.0.x.16
- Can now use the entire build surface on a V2

Ender 3 v2 Linear advance possible?
Did a little research on one way; if you have `TMC_DEBUG` enabled in the Marlin firmware, you can check with `M122` commands. I use Smith3D firmware, so I've checked out the 2.0.x.17 git tag and enabled `TMC_DEBUG` along with `MONITOR_DRIVER_STATUS`. Currently compiling; will flash and see if it responds to M122.

First fosscad print. Other than some mild ringing/ghosting, it looks pretty good. 0.08mm layer height, 100% infill, eSUN PLA+ black. 24 hours and 22 minutes print time
Meatpack compresses the gcode commands sent to the printer over USB with the Octoprint plugin. The USB communication on most printers is limited to the baud rate, which is usually 125,200. I've running the latest Smith3D firmware, allowing me to use 250000: https://github.com/smith3d/Marlin/releases/tag/2.0.x.17
