PSA: Reconciling is in the YNAB Android beta app now.

The infrastructure work that we did allows us to share significant business logic and components between iOS, Android, and the web, but each platform is entirely native (i.e. we don’t use something like Cordova or similar, to run the same app on multiple different platforms). This lets us tailor the experience to best suit each platform individually while still accelerating development, but it does also mean that the apps are not quite identical.
Best way to make both a web app and a mobile app using NodeJS and React Native?

Have you looked into Cordova? It's a popular framework which allows you to easily create apps for multiple platforms. Could be what you're looking for.

Clojure for mobile app ?
4 projects | reddit.com/r/Clojure | 29 Sep 2021
Nobody mentioned the web-first alternative. Building your app with ClojureScript in the browser and then turning it into a native mobile app with Cordova. I've done this successfully with PO LoopSync and Melody Generator and it works very well. Let me know if you want more info about this approach!
Building a Roguelike Game with TypeScript

Phaser has its caveats, but it has a lot of tutorials. In fact, most stuff I've implemented, I used their tutorial examples as a template. Their API documentation is a bit fuzzy and not everything will be on the first page you hit. After dwelling through GitHub, I forked a nice Cordova Phaser Template with Typescript which has some cool feature out of the box, mainly a BGM player (with Howler.js), Firebase integration and mobile platform support with Cordova on top of a webpack config with a dev server, and of course, Typescript support.

It's built with Quasar Framework, Vue.js, TypeScript and Cordova. If you are new to software development it takes a little time to pick up the basics but these are all popular tools so there are excellent documentation and tutorials for free all across the internet.
If I wanted to build a simple calendar app with no experience. Where do I start?

I am not sure what your target goal is, but you can take a html based solution all the way to the app store using something like Cordova - when the time comes for it.

Flutter Newbie. How do you add BoxConstraints on a custom checkbox?
1 project | reddit.com/r/flutterhelp | 2 Dec 2021
Hello I'm trying to recreate an old custom checkbox that uses RenderToggleable. This custom checkbox has a BoxConstraints when it's rendered. I was wondering where I could add this in a custom checkbox that's very similar to flutter's checkbox ? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Community fork of Cake wallet?
1 project | reddit.com/r/Monero | 1 Dec 2021
In the case of Flutter, one of the most prevalent such frameworks (and used by Cake Wallet if I remember correctly) Google fights for more than a full year already to get battery drain under control that occurs when ... can you believe it ... nothing else happens except that a cursor is blinking. See e.g. here.
WASM and PWA vs Flutter? Which would you place your bets on?
1 project | reddit.com/r/webdev | 30 Nov 2021
Flutter is a framework by Google that provides a number of compilation targets, web technologies being one of them. It's basically a common abstraction layer (Dart) that devs can utilize for supporting multiple platforms at once. It's very likely that Flutter will be able to compile an app to an HTML/CSS/JS/WASM artifact in the near future, if it doesn't have that capability already. (Obviously it can already compile to HTML/CSS/JS.)
Flutter Starter Project, the Easy Way

But for those who don't, Flutter is an open source framework that we can use to build a natively compiled, cross-platform application with a single codebase. It's written in a brandnew language called dart.

Ah! I am brand new to learning flutter and was trying to change the Flutter channel with the command:
flutter channel master
And it kept failing with:
git: remote: Internal Server Error.
git: fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/flutter/flutter.git/': The requested URL returned error: 500
Switching channels failed with error code 128.
thought I was doing something wrong and spent some time troubleshooting.

The camera is a common source of pain in native development, especially in Android, where the possible hardware and software range is too broad. camera package does a great job of abstracting over all these discrepancies and the somewhat cumbersome native Camera API, but there are some problems. For example, we ran into this issue and had to downgrade to version 0.8.1+7 for now.
Extreme load times when trying web dev.

Here is an issue that explains it better, if you look at the last comments the devs explain that it wasn't possible to cherry-pick de changes to stable 2.5 branch.
