Using extra Firefox profiles to make my life better
The only time I have had friction with profiles, is with some Google SSO as I use an unofficial extension called Google Container and sometimes the redirect just doesn't work.

Just made the switch, what do I need to do to make FireFox the ultimate browser?
Setup Multi-account containers to help group sites you use into their own box, including Reddit. I have Google Container https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/google-container/ to help put all of Google's various sites in one box.

I have 49 add-ons enabled, how can I switch between a different configuration of addons as needed ? (other than running a private window)
38. Google Container 1.5.4 Google Container isolates your Google activity from the rest of your web activity in order to prevent Google from tracking you outside of the Google website via third party cookies. https://github.com/containers-everywhere/contain-google

How to stay logged into Google but block any tracking?
One option is Google Container for Firefox, which will do some of what you describe. I also have a paired Firefox setup running as two separate instances, one that's VERY locked down and one that's just sort of normal.

Redirect google searches to whoogle
I deployed whoogle search at home. For laptops it is rather easy to define it as the default search for alfred and the respective browser, but for iOS devices I have not found a way (except some rather clunky and intrusive extensions) to change the default search engine beyond what Apple tells you. Is there a way to to this via pfSense or pihole? So whenever someone searches in the address bar in safari on iOS that pfSense redirects that search to the whoogle URL?

Do search parameters no longer work? (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo...)
I host an instance of Whoogle Search that I use and never looked back. It's like someone brought Google back to the golden age. No (direct) tracking, no ads, complete control over the results.
