community-edition VS tdesktop

Rambox - Basic free account supports unlimited services, $5/month to unlock features (e.g. spellchecker, customizable workspaces), $144 for lifetime license. Performance on my computer was awful. Also, the app itself doesn't look or feel as polished as their website, imo.

Just went to getferdi.com and I get redirected to rambox.app so I can only assume rambox bought getferdi

Ferdi website now leads to rambox.app.

Now it seems like getferdi.com redirects to https://rambox.app/.. looking very similar to what ferdi was. Is this like a new version ?

If it helps, I use Rambox instead of seperate instances of messaging clients (Slack, Teams, Discord, etc). I can create multiple tabs, each with a single workspace of slack, and keep them together with my other messaging apps.

You could also just use Discord in a browser, or (thats what I do), using it in a "Multi-Messenger" like Rambox. https://rambox.app/

The source code for version 0.7.x is available in the repo https://github.com/ramboxapp/community-edition/. Where can we find the source code for the new version 2.x.x? And where can we file issues for this version?

The Telegram Desktop app is available on Linux, and since it is open source, is commonly available in distro repositories.

You just need to install Telegram Desktop if you want this specific thing :) Go to https://desktop.telegram.org and download it there.

Download the https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop

Download the https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop within the same directory as the Telegram executable, create a folder called TelegramForcePortable. This way you can save the Telegram settings across reboots in your persistent storage. no installation needed!

There are 2 versions, one is Telegram Desktop that you can get from their GitHub page, the other one is available on AppStore. I personally use the latter and it’s pretty much negligible in terms of battery impact.
