Calibre/Goodreads on Unraid
What you can try is to use https://github.com/comictagger/comictagger to pre-tag your books. If your books are already imported, you might need a calibre plugin called Embed Comic Metadata. So you can load your zips/cbz from the calibre folder into comictagger -> save. Then load metadata back into calibre via the plugin. BUT BE AWARE: It might override existing data like Title or Series. So doublecheck after autotagging and before re-importing metadata.

Best alternative to Ubooquity ?
For comics, I use comictagger + komga.

Are there any chances of making comics look like this?
There's the bookshelf plugin that works rather well with comics and mangas in jellyfin. Most of my books/comics/mangas are tagged with the comictagger app available free on GitHub https://github.com/comictagger/comictagger.

Metadata workflow
I was going to suggest taking a look at comictagger - https://github.com/comictagger/comictagger. I'm not 100% on whether it can handle PDFs or epubs though
- Series with 7 issues broken into two different series on the Comic screen with 2 issues in one and 5 in the other.

ComicInfo.xml
Well, for most manga, I first run it through ComicTagger: https://github.com/comictagger/comictagger

App that batch derives metadata from filename in .cbz?
Look into comic-tagger. It's a CLI program which has the ability to parse file names of both CBZ and CBR and will attempt to match and pull metadata from comicvine. https://github.com/comictagger/comictagger/releases

Selfhosted Comic/Ebook Library sorted by Folders?
If you do go with another alternative, you can still use ComicVine data with something like ComicTagger. I've not personally used it, but I've seen others use it with success. Hopefully that helps!

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me!! Recent streaming services, prices and shows getting butchered, finally decided its time. Here's how a basic self-hosted 'Netflix' would look like. Fully automated once its setup. Using only a makeshift homelab server from second hand parts.

What are your top self hosted services that you are very satisfied with ?
You might want to look into Mylar3 and/or threetwo. I've only tried Mylar3 myself, and I believe it did download a comic or two, but based on some other comments in this thread, it sounds like it's hit or miss for reliability.
