How to "copy" the text that appears on your computer screen or image file
First of all, regarding installation, since this is a developer community site, I will omit the details. Download the installer from here and run it (latest version recommended). Next is the initial setting, but basically you can finish it by following the instructions on the screen. Looking for an app to "Select an area and apply OCR", as good as Mac OCR apps
I know MS has a powertool that does this but it turns out it's just based on this software called Text Grab by Joe Finney, the same dev as Caffeinated - https://github.com/TheJoeFin/Text-Grab

Just built my own free* OCR reader + Translator [with google APIs]
Also I haven't looked too much into the code but windows 10/11 seems to have a built in OCR for the languages you have installed. Text grab (https://github.com/TheJoeFin/Text-Grab) uses the API so it could be a nice alternative to using a cloud based soution and it's free.
