OP, you probably shouldn't say "runs directly in your browser" if it sends screenshots to a cloud service.
If anyone wants a similar tool for Windows that does the OCR locally instead, I recommend Text Grab (https://github.com/TheJoeFin/Text-Grab). I use it a lot for reading manga; works great.

Looking for an app to "Select an area and apply OCR", as good as Mac OCR apps
I know MS has a powertool that does this but it turns out it's just based on this software called Text Grab by Joe Finney, the same dev as Caffeinated - https://github.com/TheJoeFin/Text-Grab
