base16-vim VS Apprentice

You can checkout these two github repos for base16 color schemes.

I use flavours, it generates config files for base16 colourschemes.

The one I use is from this repo: https://github.com/chriskempson/base16-vim, which is built on the "base16 system" https://github.com/chriskempson/base16.

I want to have a consistent theme between my terminal and vim so I use Base16 Shell and Base16 Vim. But whenever I open vim without typing it in the command line, ie through dolphin or ranger or vifm the theme gets lost and turns into the blue mess.

If none of those interest you, check out base16. There are tons of colorschemes in that repo, one will probably suit your fancy.

Squire is a dark, medium-contrast colorscheme for vim, inspired by my (other) favourite colorscheme: apprentice, by Romain Lafourcade.

Shout out to Apprentice.

Thank you, very nice theme. Also found Apprentice in case anyone is interested.

I did quite a bit of colorscheme-jumping when I started until I found one that ticked almost every checkbox for me: sorcerer. I then spent a couple years with it, tweaking things here and there, until I finally decided to tick the remaining checkboxes myself and release my own version, Apprentice.
